Ruth is a Managing Director, Chief Controls Officer for Barclays Investment Bank (IB). The IB CCO is a first line control function which aims to support the IB by designing and managing consistently effective controls. The IB CCO has teams in London, New York, across APAC including multiple locations in India. Ruth joined Barclays in 2023 from Nomura, where she held roles in both the 2nd line of defence – Operational Risk – and 1st line, managing the Wholesale Controls Office. Prior to this Ruth was a consultant for Ernst & Young, advising clients on Operational Risk and Controls.
