Shehryar is the Managing Director – Models, Data and AI at Lloyds Banking Group where he has oversight of the teams that provide audit coverage over Data Risk and AI delivery, Models Risk, as well as the Data Science team that delivers data science and AI to support innovation, and the Platform team that supports technology within the function. Shehryar is a software engineer by qualification, and after spending his initial career in Tech, he moved to audit. He has since worked for the Big 4 and a number of Global banks, with Deutsche Bank being the last one before joining Lloyds. Shehryar built up the Data Science and AI capability for Group Audit at Lloyds, starting from almost a non-existent team to an industry leading Data Science team at the forefront of innovation within audit.
