Sir Chris Hoy MBE is Britain’s most successful Olympic athlete, winning six Olympic gold medals and 11 track cycling world championships. He claimed his first Olympic gold in Athens 2004, followed by three more in Beijing and two at his home Games in London 2012. In recognition of his achievements, he was knighted in the 2009 New Year Honours.
