Harj Kooner is the Chief Controls Officer for Starling Bank. Prior to joining Starling Bank, Harj was the Managing Director, Head of CCO Programmes and Digital Business Services. In this role, Harj managed a portfolio of programmes, and directly responsible for delivery of one of the larger programmes. In practical terms, this encompassed re-designing and executing an enhanced programme delivery model, as well as clarifying the scope and objectives for each programme. Accountable for determining and measuring progress against milestones and KPIs, together with leading Board-level governance meetings. Harj started his career as an Assistant manager in GRMS at PwC.
