Chanel is Managing Director, Head of Operational Risk for Barclays UK and leads the 2nd Line Operational Risk team, providing oversight and constructive challenge to the business on the management of all of the operational risks Barclays faces, including Cyber, Technology and Resilience. Chanel joined Barclays in late 2021 from Virgin Money, where she was Group Head of Operational and Resilience Risk and held a range of Risk roles including Chief of Staff and Strategic Change Risk Oversight and oversaw large acquisition and integration activities. Prior to this Chanel worked in Risk at RBS. Chanel has over 20 years experience across a range of risk disciplines, specialising in non-financial risk and with vast experience of both fast growing UK ,and established Global Banks. Based in Scotland, Chanel also leads work on the Gender Employee Group and a number of inclusion activities and is passionate about equity and inclusivity.
